Sounds like a great sleep meditation! Putting the monkey's in their cages, I like it!

Sleep is something we take for granted when we are getting enough of it but quickly realize it's importance when we fall behind.
I was introduced to Yoga Nidra (a guided sleep meditation)last year and on the nights when I go to bed with all the monkeys active and wanting to play I turn on the recording.
Like magic it puts the monkeys back in their cages and I wake up the next morning refreshed. I frequently don't make it more than 10 minutes before I'm asleep.
I learned the technique from my yoga instructor here in the East Bay.
She teaches a guided 2 hour workshop on how to do it several times a year.
There's a very good meditation app called Insight Timer that has several good recordings of the guided meditation.
The one I like most is called "Yoga Nidra for Sleep" by Jennifer Piercy.
It's also on Youtube. Her voice is hypnotic and you will be in la la land in no time.
